Hoyt 1917 holster for the colt model 1911 (rare). Up for interest here are three absolutely fantastic items that are sure to add distinction to any collection. The odds of finding such items being offered in one place is a rare chance, so do not let these pass you by. First item is a wwi m1912 pistol belt. This belt is in excellent condition and is a fine example of the m1912 having the snap for the magazine pouch whihc was added in 1917. This has the curved shape and stitching on the female part of the buclke used during early production. This is marked on the outside of the buclke made by mills woven cartridge belt co. Worchester, mass. Usa. Also on the inside it is marked mills (inside bullet casing) patented jan. 29. 1901 july 16. 1907. There is no thread fraying on this belt anywhere. It has some lite patina around some of the rivet holes, but minimal. Next we have a u. S.

Military magazine pouch fro the model 1911 pistol. This pouch is as well in excellent condition with only slight aptina and minimal staining. Snaps work properly and there are some markings shown on the inside flap.

Top part #s243 with additional markings below, (see photo). This magazine pouch is the type used to carry two spare magazine's for the colt model 1911 semi automatic pistol.

This was a standard issue item for anyone who was issued the model 1911 pistol. The lats item up for interest with this lot is, from what i understand, one of the best holster's ever made! I do not know too much about this fine holster other then it is a very rare item to locate. This along with the other items offered here have been together from what i understand from the begining, so my belief is that this holster was used fro the colt 1911 as well.

The condition of this is absolutely wonderful. All stitched seams are secure with no fraying, has the slit lock for folding top cover. The front is marked us inside a round circle and the back is marked hoyt 1917 and their are a couple initials underneath that, i think the markings are c. A. Or c.

A. V. Markings here are lite.

If markings are c. A. V. This coudl indicate calvary.

(speculation). Please do not confuse this holster with the boyt holster.

I understand that boyt also made holsters but this one is clearyl marked hoyt. I have described the items above to the best of my ability and knowledge. Plaese see photo's below.
