Imperial German Officers Dress Sword Scabbard WwiVery nice, all original imperial german world war i army officers dress sword and scabbard. Sword has all gilt brass fittings with silver wire-wrapped handle. Handle has a royal cypher with crown above. Cypher appears to be either lt or lf. Please enlarge auciton photos. Sword has front and back folding clam-shell style guards which are both in good working order. Sword blade measures approximately 30 1/2 inches ni length.
Blade is very niec and bright with only two areas of rust/discoloration on back side of blade which should clean up nicely. Overall the sword is in very nice condition for its age. Inculded with this sword is the original black leather scabbard with brass fittings. Scabbard si in very nice solid condition and should polish up nicely.
